OVERVIEW
Design a simple, reliable system that helps busy Nigerians manage household tasks, errands, and services in one place.
Choretrolly started from a very ordinary problem: how much work it takes to keep a home running. Between groceries, cleaning, and one-off requests, most people end up coordinating their lives across calls, chats, and mental notes.
For this project, we explored what it would look like to bring all of that into one place, not as a marketplace of random services, but as system for organizing recurring responsibilities.
I worked end-to-end on the product, from defining the core problem and flows to designing the interface and interactive prototype
This project served as my capstone project at Altschool Africa.
THE THINKING
Empathize
We looked at how people currently arrange errands and home services and noticed how scattered the process usually is. Most coordination happens across calls, chats, and memory.
Define
The real challenge wasn’t access to services. It was the lack of a single, reliable place to plan, schedule, and keep track of everything that keeps a home running.
Ideate
We started exploring what a “home dashboard” could look like, one that treats chores, errands, and services as part of the same system rather than separate problems.
Design
We designed the experience around clarity and predictability, focusing on flows that make it easy to see what’s coming up, what’s in progress, and what’s already taken care of.
THE TINKERING
Here, I focused on layout and hierarchy. I explored different ways of grouping products, adjusting spacing, and simplifying navigation, paying attention to how each change affected the mood of the interface. Most of the work was iterative, small refinements and edits, until the experience felt balanced and considered.
