OVERVIEW

Design a shopping experience that makes discovering cultural and handcrafted objects feel intentional, calm, and premium.

Sora was created as part of a product design assessment, with the goal of showing how I approach product thinking when the scope is small but the expectations are high. Instead of trying to design a full investment platform, I focused on a few key moments in the experience that could communicate the overall direction of the product.

The work moved from early research and brand exploration into a small set of polished screens, a basic design system, and a prototype. This was also my first time thinking seriously about components, patterns, and consistency across a product, rather than designing screens in isolation.

The project is intentionally limited, but it represents how I think about clarity, tone, and structure in financial products.

THE THINKING

Empathize

I looked at how people currently browse stores online and noticed how overwhelming and noisy most of them feel. Too many items compete for attention at once, and nothing really gets the space to be appreciated.

Define

This wasn’t a problem of “building another store.” The real problem was how to make discovery feel calm, intentional, and considered, instead of loud and transactional.

Ideate

I explored what it would mean to treat the experience more like a gallery than a marketplace. Fewer items per screen, slower pacing, and layouts that give objects room to breathe.

THE TINKERING

Here, I focused on layout and hierarchy. I explored different ways of grouping products, adjusting spacing, and simplifying navigation, paying attention to how each change affected the mood of the interface. Most of the work was iterative, small refinements and edits, until the experience felt balanced and considered.

OVERVIEW

Design a shopping experience that makes discovering cultural and handcrafted objects feel intentional, calm, and premium.

Ayòma was a product design concept exploring how craft, culture, and commerce could live together in a modern e-commerce experience. The goal was to design not just a store, but a place that feels curated — more like browsing a gallery than scrolling a marketplace.

I designed the core shopping experience end-to-end, from the landing page to browsing, product detail, and cart flows, across desktop and mobile. The project focused heavily on visual hierarchy, mood, and how to let the products and their stories lead the experience.

Design

I designed the core experience around strong imagery, generous spacing, and a quiet interface, letting the products and their stories lead instead of the UI.
